"River Island On Location" was chosen by Judge Stephen Nevitt, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Art, Columbia College, Columbia, SC as Best In Show at the Aiken Artist Guild's Annual Members Show held at the Aiken Center for the Arts, Aiken, SC. Professor Nevitt says, "It is a relatively small painting but it is a very beautifully crafted painting. I can tell it is someone that has painted for a good while. They feel very comfortable with what they are doing; there is a certain sense of intimacy to the painting that I enjoy a great deal....... they are reflecting on their surroundings in a very sensitive way." The show runs from May 20, 2009 thru June 26, 2009.
